We would like to begin the year by thanking everyone for their continued support of VGT in 2020 including all players, sponsors, volunteers, VGT team members and host golf courses. Our continued thanks to our Tour Title Sponsor IGA and our Major Sponsors for their contributions to this year’s Winter Tour Program. We will have over $5,000 in Winter Tour Bonuses at the end of the schedule in the spring of 2021!!
Please read through the following information which outlines the guidelines of this year’s Winter Tour. For the 20/21 fall & winter season we will offer our players 20 events to play in commencing October 14 through to the first week in March!

ELIGIBILITY
- Pros: Open to all PGA Canada, PGA Tour Canada, other Tour Carded & Non-Status Professionals.
- Amateurs: Open to all Amateurs with Golf Canada handicap factor up to 18.0. Amateurs will compete in 3 separate flights (0-5.0; 5.1 to 10.0 and 10.1 to 18.0) unless smaller field sizes warrant grouping Flight A/B together.

EVENT FEES
- Members: $80-$95/event (+GST)
- Non-Members: $100-$110/event (+GST)
EVENT ENTRIES INCLUDE
- Green Fee + lunch or dinner
- Small Range Bucket (where golf course has operating driving range)
- Daily Pro Purse (35% of Pro field paid out)
- Daily Amateur prizing by flight:
- Championship (0-5.0) – Top 25% of Gross Scores paid out.
- Flight A & B (5.1 to 10.0 & 10.1 to 18.0) – Top 25 % of field paid out as follows:
- Top 1 Gross & Remaining Net prizes/flight.
- If A & B flights are grouped together, top 1 gross and remaining net prizes.
- Due to limited field sizes, all male and female golfers will compete against each other in the same flight. Female golfers will tee-off approximately 12-15% shorter distances than male golfers to make play equitable.
- A chance to qualify for $5,000 in BONUS Year-end Prizing! (see below**)
- A chance to qualify for Winter Tour Championship with bonus event prizing!!
SKINS & HOLE-IN-ONE POT
$20.00 entry (optional)
- $15.00 is paid into skins game.
- $5.00 is paid into an escalating Hole-in-one pot!
Hole-in-one Pot: The pot will grow until we have a winner on the designated Hole-in-one hole for the day!! Current Hole-in-One jackpots: Two $5,000 jackpots!! (as of Sept.24)
- Gross Skins Game: Pros & Championship Flight Amateurs compete together
- Net Skins Game: Flight A & B Amateurs compete together

EVENT ENTRY PAYMENT
Payment Options
**ALL ENTRIES MUST BE PAID IN ADVANCE**
**NO CASH WILL BE TAKEN AT REGISTRATION (no exceptions)**
You have two online options to pay: E-transfer or credit card. The amount to pay is indicated on the tournament details (accessed from the Event Calendar). If you are unsure of the amount or how to pay, please email info@vancouvergolftour.com for assistance before you make your payment.

Send the amount specified in the invitation according to your status. (Professional/Amateur and Member/Non-Member), to payments@vancouvergolftour.com.Your completed E-transfer will be your receipt and proof of payment. You will receive an email from our team 4 days out confirming “You are Registered” for the event.
If you are querying whether you are confirmed from an event, please click on ‘TEE-TIMES’ on the VGT website and click “2020/21 Winter Tour” and select the event you are querying about. If your name appears on the Player Roster, you are confirmed in the field!

Got to www.vancouvergolftour.com/payment and complete the registration form and payment details for the event you wish to play. Your credit card confirmation will be your receipt and proof of payment.
Please note that a charge for Professionals of $10/day are in effect for our events at Morgan Creek and Meadow Gardens for a required donation to their Junior Program. These amounts will have been included in your Professional Entry Fees.
EVENT FIELD SIZES
- For a majority of Winter Tour events (with exception to the Tour Championship at 100) a full field will consist of 80 players.
- For events where Pros and Amateurs are invited, the first 24 pros and 56 amateurs to sign up for each event will make up the field. If the host golf course has limited field sizes, the first 24 pros and balance of amateurs will make up the field.
- For Amateur only weekend events, the first 80 Amateur members to register will make up the field.
- If by the deadline (7 days out), the field is not filled with either pros or amateurs, we will allow the balance of the field to consist of any amateurs or pros waiting.
- For all events, members will have priority registration until 7 days out. Non-members are always welcome and will be admitted into the field as long as the events are not full with members as of 7 days out.
TOURNAMENT WITHDRAWAL POLICY
- All Players must provide at least 3 days notice (72 hours + from the 1st start time of the event) to qualify for a full refund of their entry.
- All non-members must confirm their withdrawal by email to info@vancouvergolftour.com.
- All members must withdraw through Golf Genius Member’s section (click ‘unregister’ on the app) and send an email to info@vancouvergolftour.com at least 72 hours in advance to qualify for a full refund.
- Players who provide less than 3 days notice for their withdrawal but more than 48 hours notice will qualify for a refund less $50 + GST admin fee.
- Players who do not provide 48 hours notice of their withdrawal will forfeit their full entry fee.
WAITLIST PLAYERS
Players on the waitlist who have paid for an event and fail to get into the field, will be refunded in full on the following day after the event.
IMPORTANT NOTE: It is the member’s responsibility to ensure that our email server @golfgenius.com and @vancouvergolftour.com are on their safe senders list and not landing in their junk folder.
TOURNAMENT CANCELLATIONS
Due to Inclement Weather...
- VGT will be responsible for determining if the event will be cancelled due to inclement weather and golf course conditions.
- VGT will email all players as soon as we have determined the golf course is not suitable for play.
- We will attempt to re-schedule any tournament that is cancelled to a suitable date that works for both the Winter Tour Schedule as well as for the golf course.
PURSE PAYOUTS
Payout is 40% of field in the Professional field and 25% of the field in Amateur Flights (Amateurs will win VGT sponsor gift credits that can be accumulated to purchase any of our sponsors’ products: Srixon & Cleveland Golf, Galvin Green Rainwear, Maui Jim Sunglasses, Travis Mathew & Linksoul Clothing, 2UNDR briefs, Projekt Luggage, Bushnell Rangefinders, Big Max Pushcarts, Asics Golf Shoes, New Balance Golf Shoes & more.
WINTER TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP FIELD
Invitation List:
- The top 30 Professionals will qualify to play in the Professional Winter Tour Championship at the beginning of March. An additional 50 Amateurs will be invited to play in this event as their 2 last event on the Winter Tour.
- The Top 24 Amateurs in each flight (Champ, Flight A, Flight B) by end of Feb.16 will qualify for the Amateur Winter Tour Championship in March. Standings will be determined by cumulative points earned in VGT Winter Tour Events.
- Eight (8) “open” spots will be held for non-exempt players who want to play on a first come, first entered and paid basis for the Amateur Winter Tour Championship.
WINTER TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP
$5,000 in bonus payouts**:
Five percent of all Professional Entries and 5% of all Amateur Entries (After Green fees) will be withheld from each event and put directly into the Tour Championship Pro purse and Amateur Prize pool. **Based on full fields, VGT will guarantee year-end bonuses of $5,000 divided between the PRO field and AMATEUR field at the WINTER TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP dinner as follows:
PROFESSIONALS: $2,000 in BONUSES (based on 20 events run)
- $1,500 IN ORDER OF MERIT BONUSES!!
- $500 in CASH & $1,000 sponsored Apparel paid out to top 3 Order of Merit winners:
- 1st: $250 CASH + $500 in 2UNDR Apparel
- 2nd: $150 CASH + $300 in 2UNDR Apparel
- 3rd: $100 CASH + $200 in 2UNDR Apparel
- $500 in CASH & $1,000 sponsored Apparel paid out to top 3 Order of Merit winners:
- $500 IN TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP BONUSES!
- $500 in Cash paid out in addition to the regularly budgeted Winter Tour Championship Purse:
- 1st: $250
- 2nd: $150
- 3rd: $100
- $500 in Cash paid out in addition to the regularly budgeted Winter Tour Championship Purse:
AMATEURS: $3,000 in BONUSES (based on 20 events run)
- $2,400 IN ORDER OF MERIT BONUSES!!
- The top 5 OOM Winners in each flight (Champ, A & B) receive the following gift card bonuses:
- 1st: $300/flight = $900
- 2nd: $200/flight = $600
- 3rd: $150/flight = $450
- 4th: $100/flight = $300
- 5th: $50/flight = $150
